Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly rated school in Walsall. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, enabling them to reach their full potential.

About the Role:
  • Support students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide one-to-one support and small group instruction to students with additional needs.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters the growth and development of every child.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs or a strong desire to work with such children.
  • The ability to follow EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) or other educational plans designed to cater to individual learning needs.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding to support students' diverse learning requirements.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, capable of adapting to various situations and challenges that may arise.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with the option to make this role permanent at a later date.
