This esteemed organisation based in Farnham is seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to join their team on a part-time basis. As a key member of the finance function, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations and reporting directly to the Managing Director.

About The Role

In this role, you will oversee the finance function, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing financial statements and reports for the external accountants
  2. Producing monthly financial reports for 1 company, monitoring costs and gross profit figures
  3. Bank reconciliations for multiple companies
  4. Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs for suppliers and subcontractors
  5. Monthly and weekly payroll for 2 companies and handling all staff expenses
  6. Input of monthly/annual journals, i.e., payroll and auditors' adjustments
  7. Managing the Purchase Ledger Assistant and ensuring all invoices are posted correctly
  8. Building relationships with new and existing suppliers
  9. Processing new starters and ensuring all contracts are correct

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Previous experience in a similar position
  2. Experience within an SME is essential
  3. Working knowledge of Sage 50 & payroll
  4. AAT/QBE candidates will be considered
  5. Ability to communicate at all levels
