**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Major Bids senior project manager to lead and coordinate the PMO response to Major Bid activity. This involves working closely with our sales and business development teams, as well as senior internal stakeholders and operational teams, to ensure all aspects of our major bid management and subsequent mobilisation proposals meet quality, legislative, and compliance standards.

The successful candidate will have comprehensive experience of change management, a knowledge of Project Management Methodologies, and portfolio/project governance expertise. They will also possess financial management and reporting skills, as well as experience of project and programme reporting, managing risk, issues, and dependencies, and building mitigation plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting the Head of Projects and Mobilisation and the wider Mobilisation team in delivering growth objectives and team goals.
  2. Overseeing the full major bids process from a PMO perspective, including initiating kick-off meetings, managing the PMO response to meet objectives to time, quality, and cost, delivering project solutions to agreed methodologies and standards, and maintaining PMO project documentation.
  3. Highlighting and actively engaging all major bid project stakeholders and maintaining close and ongoing relationships with key stakeholders throughout the life of major bid projects.
  4. Contributing to the building and maintenance of effective RAID logs (Risk, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) prioritising and building mitigation plans, running mitigation workshops where required to minimise impact, and escalating business-critical issues in a timely manner.
  5. Responsibility for quality management of major bids and change project deliverables.
  6. Maintaining project pipeline reporting and providing highlight reports when requested.
  7. Undertaking lessons-learnt sessions upon major bid project closure and factoring in learning to drive continuous improvement processes.
