Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at UK Management College. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our high-quality education and fostering academic excellence.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including company pension, free parking, private medical insurance, and more.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the provision of a high-quality and responsive HR service, coordinating the workflow, and ensuring that the team is actively engaged in the continuous improvement of all staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead the HR team to deliver an excellent and accurate HR service to customers.
  • Develop and support team members to ensure an excellent level of performance and help them reach their potential.
  • Organize and develop HR Operations, managing the workflow to ensure timely and accurate provision of services.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate the development of HR procedures and service standards.
  • Lead the integration of HR administration into the roles of HR Co-ordinators.
  • Manage monthly payroll and develop a standardized process to handle payroll effectively.
  • Develop and implement recruitment systems and hiring processes.
  • HR Administration:
  • Supervise the HR team in all aspects of HR Administration, acting as the first point of contact for internal and external customers.
  • Monitor HR inboxes to ensure timely responses to queries and escalate complex issues.
  • Maintain employees' records accurately in line with GDPR regulations.
  • Review and update HR documentation to ensure accessibility and compliance with current legislation.
  • Review relevant HR procedures and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven HR generalist experience of three to five years.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, leadership capabilities, and solid knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team.

Please note that previous experience in developing and supporting line managers through change is highly desirable.
