As our Business Director, you'll lead a dynamic team in delivering exceptional payroll and pension services to the education sector. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will drive business growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and foster innovation. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business, creating solutions that make a real difference in the lives of educators and school staff across the UK.

What You Can Offer

  • Educated to Degree level
  • Experience in delivering business growth through effective strategic leadership and operational management in a medium-sized, multi-stakeholder organisation
  • Proven track record in financial management and budget oversight with experience in commercial bid and tender processes
  • Demonstrated success in leading organisational change and process improvement
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Excellent people and service management skills with expertise in customer service management and help desk operations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a customer-first approach. Track record of successful business growth and client retention with strong presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build, develop and lead high-performing teams


We're also keen on

  • Experience in the schools and MAT market.
  • Experience of delivering consulting and support services to schools and multi-academy trusts
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and public sector pension schemes, especially the education sector
  • Experience with payroll software and services
  • Knowledge of current issues affecting the education sector and relevant government policies
