Job Description\

We are seeking a skilled Animal Technologist to join our team at Imperial College London. This role will involve working in the biological research facilities, supporting the care and welfare of animals and conducting research-related tasks.\

The successful candidate will participate in comprehensive training, after which they will be responsible for daily animal care activities, including feeding, watering, cleaning, checking, and record-keeping. They will also work closely with other team members to maintain high standards for animal care and deliver an excellent service to researchers.\

This is a permanent position, requiring a 37-hour workweek. The appointee will be part of a highly motivated team, contributing to the success of our research endeavors. An estimated salary for this position is £33,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.\

Key Responsibilities\
1. Daily animal care duties, including feeding, watering, cleaning, checking, and record-keeping.\
2. Working collaboratively with the team to maintain high standards for animal care.\
3. Participating in weekend rota working and statutory holiday periods.\

Requirements\
1. Hold IAT Level 2 and a Personal Licence from the Home Office.\
2. Have relevant experience in animal technology, including pre- and post-operative care of common laboratory species.\
3. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.\
4. Possess a good understanding of computer systems and databases (training provided).\
