Aquatic Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatic Animal Care Specialist to join our team at the Francis Crick Institute. As a key member of our Aquatics unit, you will be responsible for the daily husbandry of freshwater fish, including zebrafish, Xenopus, and livebearers. Your expertise will ensure the health and well-being of our aquatic animals, supporting the research of our scientists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily animal welfare checks and husbandry tasks
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and ARMIS database
- Contribute to the maintenance of life support systems
- Provide excellent customer service to scientists and colleagues
Requirements:
- Experience in animal care, preferably in an aquarium, zoo, or laboratory setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
