Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Animal Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Sciantec, a leading provider of analytical services for the agri and aquaculture sectors. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our analytical results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sorting of samples and verifying they match the relevant paperwork
  • Preparing chemical standards and reagents in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintaining company equipment and reporting any damage to management
  • Working collaboratively with the team to maintain morale and providing assistance when needed
  • Ensuring safety is a top priority in the laboratory and reporting any incidents or near misses to management
  • Providing on-site training to new employees and supporting their onboarding process

Requirements:

  • Use of instrumentation such as NIR, protein analyzers, analytical balances, and ovens after successful training
