About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Away Resorts. As a key member of our Food and Beverage management team, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals and working in partnership with our Front of House team to deliver exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the Back of House operation, ensuring guests receive an exceptional level of service and delicious meals, freshly cooked.
  • Lead key shifts and take control of the day-to-day BOH operation, ensuring dishes comply to agreed specifications and the team are suitably deployed.
  • Support the F&B Manager in recruiting, managing and inspiring the kitchen team.
  • Control food margins through effective stock management.
  • Champion and implement Health and Safety and Hygiene policies to ensure team and guest safety.
  • Consult with, and learn from, the Group executive Chef to create your own seasonal, local specials where you source suppliers and products and put your mark on the menu.

Requirements

  • At least Level Two Hygiene Certificate, ideally Level 3.
  • Experience of leading a team as a head chef in a fast-paced and busy F&B kitchen environment.
  • Well-versed in managing and delivering financial KPIs within budget requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
  • A real passion for food, and a customer service ethos.
