About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Executive Chef to join our team at Away Resorts. As a key member of our Kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to the highest standards, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for consistent and prompt food preparation, ensuring all meals meet our high standards.
- Help the team to comply with agreed specifications of all dishes, ensuring correct portion sizes are followed and waste is closely managed.
- Ensure safe, clean, hygienic and tidy workspaces within the kitchen, always complying with all food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Help to control food margins through effective stock management, knowledge of product specifications and team coaching.
Requirements
- Level Two Hygiene Certificate
- 1-2 years' experience working as a line cook, commis chef or chef de partie
- Exceptional communication skills
- Good organisation skills and able to identify and solve problems
- A real passion for food, and bags of enthusiasm
- Resilience under pressure
