About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Away Resorts. As a key member of our Food and Beverage management team, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals, managing the Back of House operation, and working closely with our Front of House team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the Back of House operation, ensuring high standards of food quality and service.
- Lead key shifts and take control of the day-to-day BOH operation, ensuring dishes meet agreed specifications and the team is suitably deployed.
- Support the F&B Manager in recruiting, managing, and inspiring the kitchen team.
- Control food margins through effective stock management.
- Champion and implement Health and Safety and Hygiene policies to ensure team and guest safety.
- Consult with and learn from the Group Executive Chef to create seasonal, local specials, sourcing suppliers and products and putting your mark on the menu.
Requirements
- At least Level Two Hygiene Certificate, ideally Level 3.
- Experience of leading a team as a Head Chef in a fast-paced and busy F&B kitchen environment.
- Well-versed in managing and delivering financial KPIs within budget requirements.
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
