Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist educator, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our foundation trainee pharmacists by delivering excellent training and developing the reformed curriculum.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the provision of an effective learning environment within the pharmacy department, strengthening foundation trainee pharmacist training and meeting wider pharmacy training needs.
  • Act as a Local Learning Set Lead to support the development and delivery of a training programme as required by the Training Programme Director NHSE South East Workforce, Training and Education (WT&E) Directorate.
  • Oversee the quality assurance of Foundation Trainee Pharmacist Training at OUH.
  • Liaise and network with other Education Programme Directors within NHSE to input into the regional programme and promote good practice.
  • Input into the strategic planning of the implementation of the GPhC initial education and training for pharmacists to be delivered by.
  • Develop and oversee a training programme for undergraduate students on a hospital-based placement.
