Deputy SENCO Job Description

Job Title: Deputy SENCO

Location: Newham

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Description:

The school is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy SENCO to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO to provide support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the SENCO in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Providing additional support to students with special educational needs
  • Working with teachers to develop strategies to support students with special educational needs
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with students with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
