Job Title: Service Advisor
Job Summary:
Meridian Business Support is seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional customer service and that their vehicles are serviced and repaired to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking service warranty bookings and inputting on system
- Greeting customers, discussing, identifying, and progressing routine service and repair requirements
- Promoting the sale of service and accessories
- Ensuring that maximum profit is achieved from all service works in accordance with company policy
- Discussing and identifying manufacturer's warranty, routine service, and repair requirements with customers, obtaining background information to assist the service team in diagnosis, testing, and inspecting
- Ensuring that service, repair jobs are completed satisfactorily and to time specified, making sure all warranty items are available for return to manufacturers
- Issuing repair orders to the workshop technicians, adding any further information that may assist with repair
- Ensuring that any delay in the completion of work is reported to the customer
- Ensuring that all materials used and time employed on each vehicle is recorded on job cards and that the mechanical write-up is correct for works carried out and signed accordingly
- Accurately costing all invoices for payment
- Ensuring price lists and charge-out rates are kept up to date at all times
Requirements:
- Experience in a Service Advisor role
- A proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service
- Knowledge of the motor industry, parts, and service
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate equally with mechanics, customers, and senior management
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
- Full UK driving license
Salary and Benefits:
£40,000 per annum
47 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. 1 in 3 Saturdays 8am to 3pm)
