Senior Clinical Educator

The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Clinical Educator to join its team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilize your expertise in tracheostomy care and education to make a significant impact on the quality of patient care across the region.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and delivering tracheostomy education to patients, families, carers, community care providers, and acute clinicians across the region. This will involve collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop standardized teaching frameworks and leading on the design and delivery of education and training programs. You will also support the Tracheostomy Practitioners to undertake clinical reviews and highlight areas of clinical instability that could be improved through enhanced education, training, and individualized support.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a relevant professional registration (HCPC / NMC) and evidence of recent Continuous Professional Development relevant to the post. Teaching and education experience, as well as a teaching or education qualification, are also essential. You should have substantial post-registration experience in the daily care of people with long-term tracheostomies, including relevant competencies. In addition, you should have knowledge of tracheostomy altered airway anatomy, clinical experience in tracheostomy weaning methods and therapies, and experience of presenting and teaching to the multi-disciplinary team.
Salary and Benefits
This permanent position comes with a competitive salary range of £37,338 - £44,962 per annum, pro rata. The unit offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
