About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 8a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention with children, young people, and their families/carers.

The successful candidate will have a doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including highly developed specialist knowledge of lifespan developmental psychology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology. You will also have experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist with children, young people, and their families, presenting with the full range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings.

As part of our team, you will contribute to the development and consolidation of clinical and leadership skills through indirect work, consultation, delivering training, and service development/audit activities. We offer opportunities for post-qualification support, supervision, and consolidation of core and specialist competencies.

Salary: £52,843 - £72,460 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention with children, young people, and their families/carers.
  • Contribute to the development and consolidation of clinical and leadership skills.
  • Participate in indirect work, consultation, delivering training, and service development/audit activities.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology.
  • Current registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical).
  • Experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist with children, young people, and their families.
