Senior Clinical Psychologist

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Clinical Psychologist to lead the provision of psychological input across three Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYPMH) Services in Central and West Lancashire. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting direction, providing clinical leadership, and supervision for psychologists and psychological therapists in the teams.
About the Role:
This exciting opportunity requires a professional with a track record of leadership skills, expertise in at least one model of intervention, and specific interest in areas such as neuro-diversity or emerging personality problems/developmental trauma. As a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, you will work within a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality specialist psychological interventions to children and young people, their families, and carers.
Main Responsibilities:
Key duties include leading the provision of high-quality specialist psychological interventions, ensuring systems are in place for clinical and professional supervision, utilizing research skills, and proposing policy and service development changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent, along with highly developed knowledge of lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology. Post-doctoral training in specialized areas of psychological practice is also desirable. Additionally, experience in teaching, training, and professional and clinical supervision is essential.
