Your Role

As a member of the Financial Planning support team, the individual will participate in all aspects of client service administration, providing support to a growing team of Financial Planners and Para planners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planner activity scheduling and client meeting coordination, including recording such activities.
  • Supporting compliant new business submissions by completing and distributing relevant internal and external documentation, and ensuring the CRM system is updated correctly.
  • Acting as the primary interface for inbound and outbound queries from internal and external clients, as well as third-party providers.
  • Responsible for the operational and administrative servicing of existing clients, including preparation of client review reports and processing withdrawal requests.
  • Liaising with third parties regarding letters of authority, policy information, fund switches, and transfers of stock and/or cash.
  • Contributing to the development of the department in terms of service delivery, efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness.

Reporting Lines

  • The role will report to an FS Coordinator Team Leader.

Requirements

  • Financial Services Administration experience, preferably from within the wealth management or investment sector.
  • A high standard of compliance and regulatory knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deal with high volumes of work, as well as show attention to detail when instructing high-value transactions.
  • Confident communication skills and ability to work effectively in both a team and autonomously.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel, and demonstrate excellent written skills.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Experience using client management/financial planning tools.
  • Familiarity with dealing with third parties to commence transfer proceedings, instructing fund switches, and/or change servicing rights.
  • Understanding of provider platforms and online services.
  • Experience/knowledge of dealing with the complexities relating to handling vulnerable clients, including Trust entities formed to protect such clients (desirable, not essential).
