We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Education and Support Specialist. This role plays a critical part in improving the lives and educational outcomes for looked after children in Newport.

Role Summary

This position involves providing face-to-face support with young people in schools/education settings (age 5-16), coordinating and chairing Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings, and various activities linked to improving outcomes for our looked after children.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with education colleagues and other agencies to improve the education experience and learning outcomes for all our looked after learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing face-to-face support with young people in schools/education settings (age 5-16)
  • Coordinating and chairing Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings
  • Varying activities linked to improving outcomes for our looked after children

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is £35,595 - £43,857 per annum, plus a range of benefits including enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
