The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of working in the field of building services maintenance and repairs within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for undertaking planned preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation works across the University estate, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake engineering (HVAC/mechanical and plumbing) maintenance, repair, and installation works as required by supervisors or management.
- Respond quickly to priority tasks, undertaking fault diagnosis and repair.
- Undertake minor project works as required.
- Replace or clean filters as required.
- Carry out minor painting and joinery duties as required.
- Ensure that all work carried out complies with relevant risk assessments, safety legislation, and University safety policies and procedures.
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised apprenticeship (core trade mechanical/plumbing).
- Extensive knowledge and experience of working in the field of building services maintenance and repairs.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance, installation, and repair works.
- Strong focus on customer service delivery.
- Ability to interact with customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge or understanding of electrical systems.
- Flexible and positive approach, finding innovative solutions to challenges.
