About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In Room Dining Supervisor to join our team at The Savoy, a Fairmont Managed Hotel. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the In Room Dining department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of In Room Dining servers, providing guidance, support, and training to maintain high levels of motivation and performance.
  • Scheduling and Task Management: Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Guest Service: Ensure all guests receive exceptional service during their In Room Dining experience, exceeding their expectations and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Order Processing: Oversee the efficient processing of In Room Dining orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to guest rooms.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the kitchen and other relevant departments to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of food and beverage orders.
  • Quality Control: Maintain and enforce high-quality standards in food presentation, service etiquette, and cleanliness of dining trays and amenities.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of In Room Dining supplies, such as cutlery, glassware, and amenities, and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for In Room Dining staff to enhance their product knowledge, service skills, and upselling techniques.
  • Performance Management: Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to help them improve their performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as an In Room Dining server or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building, motivation, and performance management.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Sound knowledge of food and beverage offerings, menus, and service techniques, as well as proficiency in using computer systems and software related to In Room Dining operations.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per the hotel's operational needs.
