Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Strategist and Governance Specialist to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Portfolio Monitoring: Coordinate the monitoring of credit portfolios within SG UK, working closely with the central team at Head Office, and ensuring timely reporting to Management.
  • Governance and Policies: Develop and maintain effective governance frameworks for credit risk management, contributing to relevant Risk Management Committees (RMCs) and ensuring compliance with Group and UK policies, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Credit Decisions: Support the UK Risk Management function in making informed credit decisions, taking into account various types of credit risks, counterparties, and business lines.
  • Regulatory Interaction: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and local management, to ensure effective communication and collaboration on credit risk matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Broad Understanding: A deep understanding of credit risk management in a banking environment is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail are required.
  • Rigorous Approach: A rigorous approach to risk assessment and mitigation is necessary.
