As a Risk and Governance Strategist at Barclays, you will play a key role in driving the overall end-to-end strategy and adherence to TM processes and controls via governance oversight. You will provide leadership, management, and broad support to the Head of TM Risk and Governance, acting as a deputy for the function's Director as required.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience with issue management and TM Risk Assessments, strong leadership and coaching skills, and experience with Governance forums. They will also possess critical skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop and consult on the bank's internal controls framework and supporting policies and standards across the organisation. This includes ensuring it is robust, effective, and aligned to the bank's overall strategy and risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identification and analysis of emerging and evolving risks across functions to understand their potential impact and likelihood
  • Support to the development and implementation of the bank's internal controls framework and principles tailored to the bank's specific needs and risk profile
  • Maintenance of the control's frameworks to ensure compliance and adjust and update as internal and external requirements change

You will also be responsible for embedding the control framework across the bank through cross collaboration, training sessions, and awareness campaigns. This will foster a culture of knowledge sharing and improvement in risk management and the importance of internal control effectiveness.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave entitlement.
