Pharmacist Role in Clinical Pharmacy

At Wales Medicines Strategy Group, we are seeking a talented pharmacist to join our team as a Project Research Pharmacist. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to apply your pharmaceutical knowledge across various specialties and continuously build your confidence and knowledge base through formal and informal learning.
The role involves contributing to our clinical pharmacy service, supporting medical and surgical wards, and delivering compassionate excellence in patient-facing roles. You will be supported to complete post-graduate training, with guidance from supervisors and tutors.
We offer a competitive salary of £40,119 per annum, based on a 37-hour week. This estimate is calculated based on the job description and location, reflecting the average salary for pharmacists in the UK.
Main Responsibilities- Complete a local induction programme, including core training, and maintain core skills throughout employment.
- Demonstrate Pharmacy Professional Standards and Trust values, acting as a role model for pharmacy within the Trust.
- Deliver compassionate excellence via a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service, adhering to national medicines optimisation principles and local clinical pharmacy procedures.
- Masters Degree (4 year MPharm or equivalent) in Pharmacy.
- Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Ability to travel to all sites, including using public transport.
