Clinical Pharmacist Role

As a Clinical Pharmacist at Cowley Road Medical Practice, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. With a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience, you will work closely with nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals to provide excellent clinical care. Our practice serves a diverse community of over 12,000 patients, and we are committed to placing the care of both our patients and staff at the core of everything we do.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting patient medication reviews, implementing changes to medicines, and ensuring awareness of quality and outcomes framework, PCN directed enhanced services, local enhanced services, and national guidance. You will also ensure up-to-date knowledge of NICE guidelines and local ICB prescribing regulations.

About the Job
Patient Medication Reviews: Conduct regular medication reviews for patients to optimize their treatment plans and improve health outcomes. Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective medication management strategies. Ensure accurate coding and reporting for medication-related issues.
Prescribing Systems and Policies: Liaise with reception, admin, and clinical staff to discuss and implement medicines management systems. Collaborate with GPs, the practice manager, and data team to review and develop prescribing policies and targets. Monitor prescribing performance using various metrics, such as the CCG prescribing dashboard, ePACT, and progress on the Prescribing Incentive Scheme.
Qualifications and Requirements
We require a qualified and registered clinical pharmacist with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience. A Masters degree in pharmacy or equivalent is preferred. Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, or working towards Faculty membership, is also essential. The salary range is £42,000 to £49,000 per annum, depending on experience.
