About the role

Are you a motivated individual with excellent leadership skills? Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving store performance?

As a Shift Leader at Tesco, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that customers receive an outstanding shopping experience. You will lead a team of colleagues to deliver high standards of customer service, maintain a clean and safe store environment, and drive sales growth through effective inventory management and visual merchandising.

The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience, preferably in a retail environment, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to motivate and inspire your team to achieve their best, while also being flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets
  • Oversee store operations, including receiving, stocking, and visual merchandising
  • Maintain a clean and safe store environment, adhering to health and safety procedures
  • Analyze sales data and develop strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer engagement
  • Develop and implement plans to improve colleague performance and retention
