Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Nurse to coordinate neonatal discharges in our unit. This role offers the opportunity to work in a level 2 Neonatal Unit (NNU) and Transitional Care Unit (TCU) based in the postnatal ward.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement discharge pathways for neonatal patients, providing specialist advice and guidance to colleagues.
  • Facilitate seamless discharge of babies with complex needs from the NNU and TCU by liaising with external agencies.
  • Take responsibility for a designated group of patients, providing direct care and supervision.
  • Supervise and teach junior staff and students, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Work within professional guidelines and policies, promoting continuous improvement of clinical standards.
  • Communicate effectively with families, the multidisciplinary team, and external agencies.

  • RN/RCN with current registration.
