Mental Health Support Worker

Gray Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Burton-on-Trent. As a key member of our support team, you will work closely with an individual with complex needs, providing 24-hour support and care.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced support worker who can provide encouragement and support to an individual with Asperger's, OCD, and Psychosis. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of mental health issues and experience in supporting individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24-hour support and care to an individual with complex needs
  • Implement detailed care plans and risk assessments
  • Support the individual with daily living tasks and activities
  • Encourage and support the individual to maintain their independence
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to ensure the individual's needs are met
Requirements
  • Experience in social care, ideally within mental health
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and learning disabilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and at least 6 months' employment in the UK
