Support Mentor for SEMH Students

We are a specialist school for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, aged 11-16.
This Behaviour Support Mentor role is an excellent opportunity to work with vulnerable and disaffected young people who can display challenging and volatile behaviours.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will be able to take a therapeutic approach and have a strong willingness to make a difference to the lives of our students.
Previous experience and training in interventions and de-escalation is essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Focus on supporting young people with SEMH difficulties.
- Work alongside the Class Teacher and Supporting staff.
Teaching Assistant, Mental Health, Childcare, or Youth Worker experience is essential.
Confidence and experience in managing behaviour that challenges is necessary.
