Learning Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to support secondary-aged pupils with SEMH and those struggling in mainstream education settings.
The successful candidate will work with students on and off site locations, providing a fulfilling learning experience and collaborating with other staff to comprehensively assess children and young people.
As an Outreach Tutor, you will follow procedures outlined in the outreach folder, provide regular written reports as directed by the Head of School, and comply with relevant legislation and school policies.
Key Responsibilities:- To effectively support students attending the outreach provision.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to assess children and young people, identifying barriers to learning.
- Follow procedures outlined in the outreach folder.

- Work from the school site or various public places, including young person's homes.
- Undertake additional duties as part of the school team and assume tasks delegated by the Head of School.
- Ensure an enhanced DBS registration on the update service; apply for a new DBS if necessary.
- Prioritize a valid right to work visa and provide a criminal background check certificate if applicable.
**Salary:** £26,500 - £31,000 per annum
**Working Hours:** 08:00 - 16:30 (Full-time position)
**Location:** Medway & Swale
**Age Range:** Secondary (KS3, 4 & 5)
