Radiation Safety and Transport Specialist

We are looking for a seasoned professional to establish and manage our Dangerous Goods transport framework, ensuring compliance with Statutory requirements at our Capenhurst location.
Responsibilities- Main Points: Establish and manage Dangerous Goods transport framework, ensuring compliance with Statutory requirements.
- Advise on regulatory aspects of radioactive materials and dangerous goods transports, collaborating with various departments and external partners.
- Ensure Company procedures and transport compliance matrices are aligned with national and international regulations.
- Supervise the Site Services transport team, promoting accurate and timely transport activities and awareness training.
- Manage documentation and authorizations for national and international radioactive materials and dangerous goods transports.
- Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor qualification.
- Recognised transport qualifications for consigning radioactive materials and dangerous goods by road, sea, and air.
- High numeracy skills, achieving a minimum 90% pass mark on the Logistics Services numeracy test.
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and relevant software applications.
- Deep understanding of plant and transport operations, gained through extensive experience, and knowledge of Company-wide processes and organisational roles.
