Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Safety Expert to join its team in Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation safety. As a senior clinical scientist, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe use of x-ray equipment and providing scientific and technical support to the trust and external organisations.

The successful candidate will have a good background in Quality Assurance, optimisation, and radiation protection/safety, with experience in working within a dynamic team delivering scientific and technical support services. They will be responsible for procurement, acceptance, commissioning, and routine quality assurance of x-ray diagnostic equipment, as well as providing MPE support in Diagnostic Radiology and contributing to the development and optimisation of examination protocols.

Candidates with less experience who are working towards gaining Medical Physics Expert (MPE) status in Diagnostic Radiology are strongly encouraged to apply, as training and support is available to enable them to gain MPE certification. The trust provides a broad range of clinical service support, teaching, and research in all imaging related healthcare disciplines, including radiology, breast, and cardiology.
