Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Complex Needs Practitioner - Family Support Specialist to join our team at Recovery Focus. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with individuals and families affected by substance misuse, providing holistic support and empowering them to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with individuals and families affected by substance misuse, using a person-centered approach to identify and address their complex needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans, working collaboratively with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Provide education and guidance on substance misuse, its effects, and treatment options, promoting informed decision-making and healthy behaviors.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support, including liaison with healthcare professionals, social services, and other relevant agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience in family support work, substance misuse, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the complexities surrounding substance use.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of clients and the organization.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, or Addiction Studies.
