We are looking for a talented Life Sciences Editor to join our team at Life Sciences Recruitment. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing educational content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry guidelines.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical communications and a passion for developing high-quality educational content. With a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in medical communications, you will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of scientific and medical terminology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and edit educational content to ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, grammar, and adherence to client style guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Conduct comprehensive quality checks for consistency, formatting, and compliance with industry guidelines (e.g., AMA, ICMJE, GPP3).
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and project managers to support the development of educational materials and ensure project alignment with objectives and timelines.
- Track editorial workflows, timelines, and review processes to meet deadlines and maintain high standards across all deliverables.
- Verify references, sources, and data in medical and scientific materials to maintain the integrity of content.
- Assist in addressing client feedback and revising materials as needed, incorporating reviewer comments and ensuring final versions meet client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, medical sciences, journalism, or related field; advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD, PharmD) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in medical communications, medical education, publishing, or healthcare.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
