Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapist

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our neurorehabilitation team at Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Bristol.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly skilled team providing specialist rehabilitation to patients with complex neurological needs following acquired or traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medical and physical management of spasticity, including splinting and serial casting
  • Complex postural management
  • Disorders of consciousness
  • Assessment for and provision of orthotics
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Use of specialist equipment, such as the Lite-Gait overhead walking harness and treadmill
  • Management of Behaviours that Challenge
  • Tracheostomy management and weaning
  • Patient-centred goal setting
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration
  • Previous neurorehabilitation experience
  • Tracheostomy training is essential
  • Postgraduate training in Normal Movement, Movement Science, or other neuro-specific courses would be an advantage
