Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapist

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our neurorehabilitation team at Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Bristol. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with Doctors, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Psychologists to provide specialist rehabilitation to patients with complex neurological needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medical and physical management of spasticity, including splinting and serial casting
  • Complex postural management
  • Disorders of consciousness
  • Assessment for and provision of orthotics
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Use of specialist equipment, such as the Lite-Gait overhead walking harness and treadmill
  • Management of Behaviours that Challenge
  • Tracheostomy management and weaning
  • Patient-centred goal setting
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration
  • Previous neurorehabilitation experience
  • Tracheostomy training is essential
  • Postgraduate training in Normal Movement, Movement Science, or other neuro-specific courses would be an advantage
