Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team. As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our service users with their daily needs, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out assessments in service users' homes to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Supporting individuals with social and physical activities, such as outings, exercise, and hobbies.
  • Booking and accompanying service users to appointments, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assisting with personal care, including support with showering, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Helping service users with eating and drinking, promoting healthy eating habits and hydration.

Requirements

  • A caring attitude and a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • The ability to work independently, using your initiative to resolve issues and make decisions.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with service users and their families.
  • The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant care environment.
  • Good writing skills, allowing you to accurately document service user information and progress.
  • A smart mobile phone, which you can use to download work-related apps and stay connected with the team.
