Make a Difference as an In-Home Befriender
SeeAbility is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as In-Home Befrienders. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide companionship and support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and/or sight loss in their homes.
About the Role- Provide Meaningful Companionship: Engage in activities such as conversation, reading, arts and crafts, board games, or sensory play, tailored to the individual's interests and preferences.
- Build Strong Connections: Foster a supportive and friendly environment, offering a listening ear and genuine care.
- Contribute to Well-being: Help individuals feel valued, connected, and supported in their daily lives.
- Kindness, empathy, and a friendly demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and a good sense of humor
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection procedures
This role requires a commitment of 2-4 hours per week, every other week.
