Volunteer Befriender

At SeeAbility, we are seeking a compassionate and friendly Volunteer Befriender to provide companionship to someone we support in their home.

This role is a great opportunity to make a difference in someone's life and is ideal for individuals who enjoy spending time with others, engaging in activities and building meaningful relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide regular companionship to someone we support in their home.
• Engage in activities and hobbies that the individual enjoys.
• Support the individual to develop their skills and interests.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection procedures.

Requirements:

• Be kind, empathetic and friendly.
• Have a good sense of humour, love to chat and be a good listener.
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Be able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures.
