Job Title: Specialist or Highly Specialist Dietitian

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team at Cygnet Brunel, a 32-bed male Neuropsychiatric service in Bristol. As a Specialist or Highly Specialist Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dietetic assessment and intervention to individuals with acquired brain injury or neurodegenerative disease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct dietetic assessments and develop individualized dietetic plans for individuals with complex needs.
  • Provide direct 1:1 input, advice, and guidance to staff supporting individuals, as well as unit-based clinics and group work.
  • Collaborate with the catering team, Speech and Language Team, and wider multidisciplinary team to provide specialist advice on feeding regimes.
  • Participate in policy development, audit, research activities, pathway development, staff and student training at both a local and national level.
Requirements:
  • Registered Dietitian with a degree/postgraduate diploma in Dietetics, registration with HCPC, and membership of the BDA.
  • Experience of working in an in-patient setting and/or in the field of neurorehabilitation or neurodegenerative conditions is strongly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • Enthusiasm, motivation, and passion for working in a neuropsychiatric inpatient setting.
