Teaching Assistant Position

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Teaching Assistant, supporting students with special educational needs. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality education.

About the Job

This full-time, permanent position comes with a competitive salary and benefits package. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting teaching staff in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, as well as leading whole classes during the teacher's non-contact time and in their absence.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children and young people with special educational needs, either in a special school or similar setting. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive training program, a full induction package, and opportunities for career development.

Essential Requirements
  • A minimum of three years' experience working with children and young people with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team

Please note that this role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and applicants are required to declare all unspent and spent convictions.
