About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Team at HMP Stoke Heath. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with mental health needs, working collaboratively with other professionals to deliver a comprehensive and recovery-focused service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based interventions, including assessments, reviews, and care planning, using the Care Programme Approach.
  • Work effectively within the team to deliver a holistic and recovery-focused approach, taking into account the individual's needs and circumstances.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, working closely with service users, carers, and other professionals.
  • Facilitate therapeutic group work and deliver evidenced-based interventions, including CBT and motivational interviewing.
  • Identify individuals requiring hospital treatment and facilitate timely transfers under the Mental Health Act.
  • Line manage Band 5 nurses, providing supervision and support as needed.

Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with recent CPD and compliance with NMC revalidation.
  • Considerable experience of working in the mental health field, including providing specialist interventions and supervision.
