About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Team at HMP Stoke Heath.
As a key member of our team, you will provide evidence-based interventions, manage a caseload, and undertake assessments and reviews. You will work collaboratively with individuals, carers, and other professionals to contribute to the delivery of an effective, dynamic, integrated mental health and substance misuse service.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a recovery-focused and holistic approach in working with individuals who access our services.
- Deliver care and interventions utilising the stepped care model, including provision of the CPA Framework where appropriate.
- Assess individuals' needs to develop, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans.
- Facilitate therapeutic group work, taking the lead where appropriate.
- Deliver evidenced-based interventions.
- Identify individuals requiring hospital treatment and facilitate the timely transfer under The Mental Health Act.
- Line manage a Band 5 nurse where appropriate.

Person Specification
- Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Evidence of recent CPD and compliance with NMC revalidation.
- Considerable experience of working in the mental health field.
- Experience of providing specialist interventions for those with mental health problems, counselling techniques, CBT, motivational interviewing.
- Providing supervision and line management of staff.
