Job Description

Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Salary: £45-55k + package (experience dependant)

Type: Perm / full time / Hybrid

Location: Scotland, UK

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our design team at Advance TRS. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering civil designs for infrastructure projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Delivery: Handle everything from feasibility to detailed designs for construction, ensuring that projects meet client requirements and standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise junior staff, conduct site visits, and write reports to ensure health and safety standards are met.
  • Project Management: Prioritize health and safety in all design work, ensure projects stay on time and within budget, and help prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Communication: Present engineering solutions to clients, ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and check and approve design documents, drawings, and calculations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience in designing infrastructure, preferably in the water sector.
  • Education: Relevant degree (working towards professional accreditation is a plus).
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, including MS Office and basic AutoCAD, excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to work in teams and meet project deadlines.
  • Personal Qualities: Client-focused approach to service, self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement, and strong focus on health and safety.
