About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join our team at Arup. As a key member of our Energy Water and Resources engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a diverse range of projects within our major client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical guidance on projects, ensuring high-quality designs and delivery of outstanding results.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for complex energy and water infrastructure projects.
  • Application of Eurocodes and British Standards to ensure compliance and excellence in structural design.
  • Review and interrogation of 3D modeling and drawings, utilizing industry-recognized software systems.
  • Leadership and mentorship of junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Requirements
  • MEng or MSc level in Civil Engineering or related subject, with Chartered Civil Engineer or Chartered Structural Engineer status.
  • Relevant experience in the technical design of civil structural elements, with a preference for energy projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design software, including finite element analysis of concrete structures.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical and hydraulic design standards, with experience in dynamic loading of structures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
