About the Job:
GSK is looking for a skilled scientist to join its Genomic Technologies team as either Scientific or Principal Investigator. This exciting opportunity involves leading-edge research in human genetics and genomics, with a focus on discovering new causal gene-phenotype links through analysis of large-scale individual level human genetic data and GWAS/xQTL summary statistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with partners in applied and translational teams across HGG, in experimental Target Discovery, and in GSK disease area Research Units, to influence portfolio and pipeline decisions.

Responsibilities:
This role involves several key responsibilities, including generating large-scale analysis outputs, evaluating, improving, testing, and developing production implementations of best-in-class methods for analysis of genetics and genomics data. You will also need to collaborate with partners in applied and translational teams across HGG, in experimental Target Discovery, and in GSK disease area Research Units, to influence portfolio and pipeline decisions. Staying informed about recent research in the field and considering its potential for application within GSK is also essential. Contributing to a culture of innovation, quality, and willingness to learn and improve is crucial for success in this role.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience with machine learning and/or advanced statistical methods, working in multidisciplinary teams on complex and impactful projects, integrating information across multiple genetic, genomic, epigenomic, or experimental/functional genomic data types, and using distributed or cloud computing technologies would be highly valued.
