Job Summary

The Restorative Justice Worker will be responsible for promoting the active involvement of victims in our Out of Court disposal processes. This role requires an experienced and enthusiastic individual to work as part of Bristol Youth Justice Service's Restorative Justice team to deliver a high-quality restorative justice service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Making contact with victims of crime to gather their views and provide impartial information to aid decision-making.
  • Supporting victims throughout their contact with the Youth Justice Service.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective multi-agency links with key partner agencies to support victims of crime in Bristol.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with victims of crime.
  • A strong commitment to the principles of restorative justice.
  • A proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Environment

This role is emotionally challenging and involves working with victims of crime, lone-working, and home visits. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to establish effective relationships with colleagues and external partners.
