Restorative Justice Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Restorative Justice Worker to promote the active involvement of victims in our Out of Court disposal processes.
About the Role:
As a Restorative Justice Worker, you will work as part of Bristol Youth Justice Service's Restorative Justice team to deliver a high-quality restorative justice service which aims to repair the harm caused by young people, bringing resolution to victims and offenders and reduce offending.
Main Responsibilities:
- Make contact with victims of crime, gathering their views to aid the decision making of Out of Court Disposal Panels.
- Provide impartial information enabling victims to make informed choices regarding any restorative justice involvement they may have with young people in the Criminal Justice System.
- Support victims throughout their contact with the Youth Justice Service.
Requirements:
You will have experience of working with victims of crime, a strong commitment to the principles of restorative justice and a proven ability to work independently whilst also being able to work supportively within a team environment.
