Job Title: Women's Criminal Justice Recovery Keyworker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Women's Criminal Justice Recovery Keyworker to join our team at The Nelson Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting women in their recovery journey, providing holistic and trauma-informed care to empower them to achieve lasting change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting relationships with women in the Criminal Justice System, providing intensive support to ensure a smooth transition from custody to community.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to provide a strong wrap-around support, focusing on access and engagement in substance misuse treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized recovery plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each woman.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance, helping women to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Work in partnership with other services to ensure continuity of care and support, promoting a seamless transition from custody to community.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with women in the Criminal Justice System, particularly those with substance misuse issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with women from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and holistic support approaches.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Commitment to promoting equality and challenging discrimination, with a focus on empowering women to achieve their full potential.
