About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Shift Leader to join our team at One Stop. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the store, providing excellent customer service, and leading a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets
  • Manage the store's operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and cash handling
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Work collaboratively with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives and improve store performance
  • Develop and implement plans to improve customer satisfaction, sales, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and control store expenses, ensuring that they are within budget
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Recruit, train, and develop colleagues to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to colleagues to help them improve their performance
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role, preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a till
  • Ability to lift and move stock, and work in a fast-paced environment
